1 Corinthians 13
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am a noisy brass or a clanging cymbal.
And if I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body to be burned, but do not have love, I am nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.
It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.
It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But if there are prophecies, they will fail; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophecy in part,
But when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part will vanish away.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child, I understood as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.
And now abide, these three remain: faith, hope, and love. These three but the greatest of these is love.
