This book was recommended to me by a friend's mother. It is a historical fiction piece on the life and beliefs of Buddha. Chopra writes in such a candid manor that the reader feels like they are Buddha's best friend. He humanizes Buddha and that inspires me to live my life with more purpose and make time for some silence every once and a while.

Santorini
While on vacation in Santorini, my friend Nani and I were faced with a decision: Gondola or Donkey? So we chose the obvious, Donkey down a steep winding cliff. I call it one of the greatest experiences of my life, Nani calls it one of the worst (slightly afraid of heights and her donkey slipped). The reason I loved it so much was because I experienced something so beautiful. The donkey drivers have a reputation as rude and crude, but I picked a flower from the cliffside on my way down and as I handed it to one of the drivers, I got a great Greek smile in return.
