Flower Power

Flowers make us happy and what makes us even happier is when we can identify flowers by name!  Each week we will highlight one flower that inspires us so next time you are at the market you can RECOGNIZE those  Renunculas by name!  This week we wanted to introduce you to the Iceberg Rose!

Iceberg Roses

We just planted these beautiful Iceberg Rose bushes in two terracotta pots flanking the front door to Big J's house.  We chose Iceberg Roses because they bloom all year long.  Something you may not know about Iceberg Roses is that they were cultivated for the first time in the 1950s in Germany.  They produce beautiful pink and white flowers.  The downside is that they have little to no fragrance, but we were happy to trade that for a perennial bloom!  The best part of this entire planting experience?  The pots, originally $68 each were purchased on sale at Anthropologie for $15 each!  Now thats a DEAL!
